Remote access to your PC from anywhere

Working from home on my PC is great and I have my home computer set to handle my online business just fine. I have increased the RAM and tweaked some settings to optimize performance of my computer so that it runs smoothly for days on end. It’s in a constant state of use and I have it set to run various programs throughout the day and night automatically. I use Windows Task Scheduler to open select programs at timed intervals to perform certain job functions necessary to my job and business.

For a long time one computer was plenty to run my business but as things have grown I have been required to run more than one computer to perform the myriad of tasks and services I need to manage my network of sites. I now have three computers networked together in my home office and I have them each set with different programs that run reports and perform tasks such as website submission, and traffic statistics and analysis. Accessing my computers from the home network is as easy as using built in software in Windows XP to control each program and function.

I now have two server hosting our websites, one is a unix based server and the other is a newer Windows server. The Windows machine is pretty nice and has a pair of Xeon processors and lots of RAM. The new server is great for running Windows applications that are processor or data intensive such as reading log files. Using the new Windows server with a Remote Access application for controlling my PC from anywhere works great for my business and really helps me streamline my work schedule by optimizing my work flow and having the software do the work for me. RemotePC.com offers a consumer and business version of their remote pc access software that will cover most any users needs and provide secure access to your remote computer installation.
