Blogging from Google Docs

I’m posting this document to the WordPress blog from inside Google Docs. It’s not the first time I have done this but I’m thinking I’ll keep doing this from here with this particular account just for the sake of running a paperless office with Google. This is a WordPress powered blog with powerful text tools but this blog post came from my Google account.

Using Google Documents as my blog writing platform allows me to keep a copy of all of my blog posts as an OpenOffice Document in my primary email account. I can access these documents from any computer in the world and either edit, print or republish them as I wish. Having the backups in Google is great in case the day comes I have a blog fail or I want to change or delete some old content but once they are published live to the blog I will probably never use them again.

I guess it’s just an added layer of publishing and backup at this point and little more than a novelty. For now at least this blog will be managed from my Google Docs account. Anyone else use Google Documents to publish articles to their blog?
