We sold a total of just over 10 domains for about $20,000 this year and it was a larger part of our overall business this year. Most of my money still comes from traffic generated through our sites to affiliate programs such as Service Magic and LinkShare. We do exceptionally well in the moving and relocation services industry and this year things we’re even better as we had no real slow season and a steady flow of moving company leads all year round. I just did monthly reports for December and we did just as well as the two prior months. Thats unheard of for us in the moving industry and I’m just happy we made any money at all over the slow season this year.
In years past I developed some ecommerce site to offset the slow down in the relocation industry but this year I left it up to the search gods and came up with the extra domain sales and some paid seo work instead. I had a better holiday and no customers to deal with. I sure do love working for myself online. I am the best boss I ever had.
