I’ve been marketing websites online for a number of years and over that time I have come to apprecaite free email accounts at sites like Yahoo and MSN. I use them to collect the junk my online life collects and I use it to better organize things for me. I have some free email accounts that date back to 98 and 99 that still receive a few hundred spam emails each and every day. I rarely ever check them any longer but on occasion I have dropped in and cleaned up the inbox some as I filtered more of the junk. I have los of old online connections that still may use some of these email accounts fro time to time and I find new stuff in there every once in awhile.
I began using my own domains and a new user @ to tell where my spam was coming from at least 5 years ago and I now have a bunch of rules and filters to clear things up. When I run a submission on a domain I use one of my throwaway accounts to filter the real junk and I create my own account with one of my domains for the better stuff like directory submissions and search engines. I must have over 20 active email accounts and at least 50 or more more rules to manage it all but my volume of daily email garbage is under 50 spam emails in my primary inbox per day now. Hows your spam protection working?
